This girl must be stopped before she disgraces the entire nation. She has declared that she is above the authority of the Coat of Arms of Ghana. If even our Supreme Court, the highest institution as far as our laws are concerned, is under the authority of our Coat of Arms, then this foolish woman is telling us she is defying the authority of our courts. This must be a challenge to all other institutions of state. We are looking up to our representatives to pick up this challenge and defend our integrity.

This is an utter display of ignorance and nonsense by the MP for Nabdam, Boniface Gambila, to suggest that the coat of arms confers authority on the EC to hold elections. The coat of arms, as he erroneously stated, is just a symbol that does not grant powers to the EC to hold elections, it is the EC's charter that does. It will be a pure waste of time and resources to sue the EC over this trivial matter. He should rather divert his time and resources into educating himself and his constituents.

You have my support.The Coat of Arms is the symbol of authority on all important gov't Institutions Letterhead,or the authoritative logo of the EC.Democracies all over the World has 3 Independent Arms of Gov't namely: (1).THE EXECUTIVE,(2).THE JUDICIARY,(3).THE LEGISLATURE. Therefore, the EC cannot Claim it's independence,if Election/Electoral Petition, or Disagreement, Dispute,has to be reffered to COURT to Decide,or RULE,and not by the EC Office as an Independent Institution,It Stands to reason that,the excuse by EC about its independence to defend the new logo, is Lame and neither here nor there!. Therefore,the independence of the EC is Cosmetic or limited,if any. Again,what do the change of logo contributes to improve the electoral process to move the Country forward. Do authorities streamline the electoral process to make it transparent, more efficient,rig free,etc, or just a Change in the name of Change of the previous logo to replace with meaningless abstracts; copied from a foreign Country(Turkey), to make it our own to be proud of it!.A worthless venture,a Waste of Taxpayers Funds,and waste of time.
