The NPP can't expect to win an election with a clueless Akufo-Addo who not only has wrecked and divided the NPP with his lack of vision, but also has been labeled by the respected Alan Kyeremanten camp within the NPP as "incompetent and a monumental failure". Only the delusional and hallucinating NPP fails to see the writing on the wall, choosing instead to falsely believe that its NPP serial lies and demented deceptions will help its attempt to mislead the voting public.

The US election is a tricky one, and until after November 8, no one knows exactly who is winning. The media is pro Hillary Clinton, making it appear as if she is leading in all polls. But man, hold your gun ok. Don't be deceiving yourself. I have been following the elections keenly and it appears all blacks are for Hillary. That's why every Ghanaian thinks Trump will lose. Its not the case. And these polls are no longer reliable. Just consider Brexit, UK elections etc. The polls have always been getting it wrong.

Take the Volta Region for instance; they will vote for a goat as long as it is in NDC colours.

Can we as a nation not have political discourse without picking sides?

2. I think it's a bit naive to assert that Americans will not vote for Trump seeing that he has dominated the Republican primaries and, even though he lags behind Hillary in current polls, still commands poll numbers upwards of 35% (and even 40% depending on which polls). It's wishful thinking to think he WON'T win, but reality is he CAN win. Not smart to share opinions as blanket statements, prof.

The fact is that most politicians in Ghana go into politics with a setting mind set;to amass wealth.Period.It is not about a believe in political ideology or philosophy.The PNDC under Jerry Rawlings had a socialist ideology that was people centered.The NDC is purported to be a social democratic government.One cannot in any way convince me the John Mahama government is a social democratic government per his leadership style.In all earnesty,this is a government promoting crony capitalism and nepotism with all the attendant corruption reaping the nation's coffers dry.This is a government solely interested in enriching families,friends and other associates through the most heinous of illegalities to the neglect of the poor suffering masses.An irresponsible government that has practically legalize corruption cannot be taken serious.A government that has stifle rule of law in the interest of corrupt cronies cannot be taken serious.Many have suffered gross violation of their basic rights under this government.A measure of that is the fact that numerous human rights cases involving corrupt top public officials are being gagged up in court to rot under the government watch in connivance with the AG Department whiles the ordinary citizen whose rights have been severely violated suffer pain and agony.Why will the AG refused to investigate cases of illegal dismissals based on personal vendetta such as a young lady refusing to yield to the demands of sexual favor by top public officials?Why will the AG Department connive to cover heinous criminal acts like dismissal through blackmail and fabrication like a public official suffering a mental illness.What is significant in most cases of victimization in public institutions under this government is that most victims refused to be corrupt or attempt exposing corruption.You cannot trust a government that is indeed so corruption prone and indeed extremely allergic to corruption and illegalities to perform.Unfortunately the Ghanaian electorate including highly educated ones are not discerning enough.The greedy and self centered nature of the Ghanaian in the midst of poverty and ignorance allow rogue politicians to exploit loopholes mainly through vote buying and rigging to win elections even if the capacity and capability to solve problems and champion development is lacking.What that means is that incumbent government with by far better financial resources albeit all the illegalities always stand a good advantage of buying their way through and winning election.Of course other huge but irrelevant incentives is whipping the tribal card to entice people to vote on tribal sentiments even if they are dyeing in abject poverty and deprivation.Until we learn to vote based on pertinent issues bothering on development,rogue politicians will always take advantage of the electorate for their narrow parochial interest in the midst of trivialities and mediocrity that does not serve the larger interest of the Ghanaian public.On the other hand Ghana needs incorruptible,selfless patriotic,,committed and serious minded leadership with knowledge and experience to develop.
