Apart from the Veteran Hospitals, most hospitals in the USA are owned by private, churches and cooperate entities; does it mean that the USA is a failed country? I was shocked to read that yet again another state inst. is going to commit public resources to building a hospital for their private use, with some carrot about members of the public also using it, as a ruse to gaining special treatment while they the elite allow the public hospitals to rot. Which govt allowed this rent-seeking project and expenditure?

It is not the responsibility of BoG to build and run hospitals. Does any one know of a central bank in the world doing so?

They have been building police hospitals instead of modern forensic labs. Only military hospitals should be allowed and they should be of the highest quality for treating all kinds of trauma war can generate. For starters, accident victims should be sent to them to acquaint them with treatment of wounds.

Staff of the Bank of Ghana have embarked on a sit-down strike following the dismissal of two of their colleagues, a source close to the Bank had said.

Mr. Benjamin Duffuor, Chairman and Mr Frank Mensah, Secretary of the Bank of Ghana Senior Staff Association, were handed their dismissal letters last Friday and their identity cards, which allow them entry into the bank’s premises, taken from them.

Meanwhile, management of the Bank are in a meeting to see how best to resolve the impasse.

Why is the bank providing accommodation for the staff in the first place. If the bank get out of this accommodation business it wont have to deal with. Pay them rent allowance and let them all live where they desire.
