This post is a dangerous piece by the writer to foment trouble. While trying to be smooth and stealth in it presentation the hidden motive is obvious. Regional Security Council, as provided by our law, is not the regional Minister. He is just the chairman with variously players who all have a vote in decision making. He just issued the directive on behave of the council. Such actions have taken place in areas across the country where trouble is perceived through intelligence. The use of faded ancient history and contemporary politics whilst throwing allegations is telling and expose his dangerous motive. The security council have a mandate to ensure peace in their area of authority and it will use powers they have to do so.

Gradually the NDC is inserting itself into chieftaincy issues against the 1992 constitution.

It started immediately they assumed office with the Sampa Traditional council being the first casualty.

Joseph Akwaboah the Bono regional minister immediately after assuming office as the Bono regional minister took direct control of the Sampa tradional council chieftaincy affairs.

Joseph Akwaboah under the guise of a so called regional security council order warned the omanhene duly affirmed by the supreme court of Ghana and gazetted by the national house of chiefs threatened that the regional security council cannot guarantee the security of Nana Samgba Gyafla II.
Mr Akwaboah meanwhile allowed an imposter of a chief ( Imposter Nana Yaw Samodua) to have a free ride in the sampa traditional area. This measure taken by Akwaboah is just to satisfy the over bloated ego of Dormaahene who has vowed not to respect the supreme court ruling of the Sampa chieftaincy and the dormaahene is actually in contempt of the supreme court order, though the dormaahene himself is a subordinate officer of the supreme court/judicial service-Note that the dormaahene is an appeal court Judge. Despite the Bono minister dangerous misconduct the government/the president has turned a deaf ear to it and Akwaboah is bathing himself in the chieftaincy dispute at Sampa.

Ekow Panyin of the central region is also copying the footsteps of the Bono regional minister.

Probable supporting an NDC member who has declared interest in the denkyira stool.

Ekow Panyin and the NDC government must be told in the face that they are acting unconstitutionally by strictly limiting the chief from conducting any traditional ceremonies outside his palace gates until any ongoing internal factional disputes are resolved.

Let it be told that per the 1992 constitutional order the chieftaincy issues falls under the National House of chiefs and the courts.
Any aggrieved party must go to the National House of chiefs for injuction and if not satisfied can file an appeal to the courts.

Aggrieved parties cannot just ignore the National House chiefs and the courts and go straight to the government to impose a freeze on the installed chief. It is not constitutionally. But I suspect the other parties have no case that is why they are using the political authorities to cause trouble in the traditional area.
I'm told that one of their grievance is that the current chief ( Oscar Kesse) who is a brother to the Queenmother, Nana Ama Ayensua Saara does not belong the proper lineage. How can you accept the queen mother and reject his brother of the same mother as not being a proper lineage in the Akan tradition.

The government through its action has taken sides to destool the current chief of the denkyira traditional council
who was duly nominated by the queen mother - Nana Ama Ayensua Saara II, and accepted by the council and duly installed as the 26th denkyirahene on 20th October 2025 at Jukwa.

The government must not involve itself in such unconstitutionally acts. the end result will not be good for the peace of Ghana.
