  The estate developers should go to Owuaraku and buy part of the cannery land if they will sell it out to them since the cannery company is under-utilising the land.

  You are certainly ignorant. Why don't you hold your tongue until you've a full understanding of the situation? What do you call "progress"? Sell agricultural lands and import food? The issue is not about stopping progress, it is about sustainable land use practice where people should go beyond mere economic expediency and consider the social and environmental aspects of development as well. Why concentrate almost all foreign direct investments (FDI)in Accra and its environs? This is just one of the pertinent questions you should be asking those government officials and planners instead of lashing out on the poor folks. Why? I can assure you that FDI is a major 'culprit' in this rampant land-grabbing and ill-considered so called real estate development in Accra and in these Peri-urban areas. I wish more communities would stand up and stop this creeping menace!
