If our educational standards are failing, the clearest reason is our inability to hold teachers' accountable vis-a-vis students'performance. If promotions, bonuses and other incentives are tied to our kids performances,we'll definitely see an upsurge in our kids performance in school. Those teachers whose students are not doing well would be called to account and be weeded out if they don't improve. We don't need to form a committee to do this. But what do you expect when you have square plugs forcing themselves into round holes, huh?

DESPITE REBUTTAL, NOW ADMISSION THAT EDUCATION STANDARDS HAVE FALLEN, SO THE NEED FOR A COMMITTEE TO INVESTIGATE IT. WHY DOES NDC ALWAYS LIE AND DO PROPAGANDA WITH EVERYTHING IN GHANA, FEELING HURT WHEN THEIR FAILINGS ARE POINTED TO THEM, ONLY TO TURN ROUND THE NEXT DAY TO APPOINT A COMMTTEE TO LOOK AT THE PROBLEM. GHANAIANS SHOULD THROW THIS LYING AND THIEVING GOVERNMENT OUT, BEFORE THEY DESTROY THE NATION FOR GOOD.

It will be a waste of time and money to set up any committee to look into the falling education standards in the country. We are in the high tech age and have to accept that social media is here to stay. Measures can be taken to improve standards I the schools.Restrict the use of social media in the schools(you cannot totally ban it),go back to the 4year SSS programme instead of the current 2.5-3yr.Why do we want to compress a 4yr. programme into 2.5-3yrs in the first place? Also,we have to make sure teachers are paid on time before we can hold them responsible for any falling standards. Why should teachers chase the govt. for their paychecks? What we do not need is a COMMITTEE.

What is the job of paid education inspectors??? Really we do not need a committee to waste more time on the issue but strengthen the institution responsible for providing quality education. Sorry Mahama and his crew are too inexperienced to rule Ghana. Is this the quality education that they promised during the election? God help us.

Do we need a group to tell us what we should know about improvements to Ghana’s education? NDC leadership must stop acts of silliness, act like responsible adults with a little bit of caring for the school age kids in Ghana. There are three (3) things that work for school:
1. Competent teaching staff with adequate instructional aiding tools.
2. School structures with indoor plumbing facilities fit for humans and not pigs and piglets.
3. Students who arrive at school fed and by transport ready to learn.
Our children need members of parliament to appropriation funding for the renovation of our schools and for school districts to provide and maintain school buses to transport our children to school. Parents must be responsible for feeding their children before they arrive at our schools. There is no need for a group to sit in perpetuity only to gobble up government money as compensation for their non productive and meaningless meetings.
