Ghana will be missing the services of Sulley Muntari when they take on Portugal in the final Group G match on Thursday.
The 29-year-old picked up another yellow card on Saturday during Ghana’s 2-2 draw with Germany.
Muntari was also booked in injury time in the Black Stars’ opening game against the USA.
The experienced Ghanaian midfielder will now miss what could turn out to be Ghana’s most important match on Thursday.
If Portugal beat the USA on Sunday night, then Ghana will be in a better position to make it into the round of 16 if all three points are picked against the Portuguese.
In the absence of Muntari, Kwesi Appiah still has a few materials to fall on including Michael Essien, Emmanuel Agyemang Badu, and Afriyie Acquah.
