Ghana coach, Kwesi Appiah says Portuguese captain, Cristiano Ronaldo will receive no preferential treatment when the Black Stars meet the Europeans in the final Group G match in Brazilia on Thursday.
Ghana's progress to the next stage of the competition faces a difficult test from Ronaldo and his team but Appiah insists the world best player will be taken care of.
He said "Ronaldo is the best player in the world; everyone recognises that. I do no not believe in looking out for individuals. For us, it will be down to team work.
"It is important however that he is not allowed to have his own way. We will keep an eye on him.
He can always punish you given the opportunity. He will be watched like he deserves but there will be no special attention for him.
" We will rather check out how the Portugal team is set up and prepare because I do no believe in overly looking out or preparing for individuals".
Ghana require a win on Thursday and hope either Germany or the USA loses to ensure passage to the next stage of the competition.
This is the first time Ghana and Portugal meet a this level.
