Any country that agrees to host an international tournament should not be allowed to officials or participants deny entry into that country without justification. The USA has employed the same bully stick to deny entry into the USA to conduct United Nations business, simply because Trump dementedly sees those persons as coming from countries that he doesn't like. Unless there's proof that a person poses a risk to the USA or that person has been convicted of a crime that should preclude their entry into the USA, the USA should have no business denying entry purely on personal reasons. FIFA is headed by an man who loves to kiss Trump's stinking ass, hence he will not do anything to stand up for FIFA officials being bullied by Trump. Even Trump's patron saint Hitler did not stoop this low when he hosted the Olympic Games in Germany, other than refusing to shake hands with African-American athletes. Thank goodness Jesse Owns and Ralph Metcalf left that dumb ass Hitler seething silently in pain and agony as they outperformed the German athletes. Trump, like Hitler before him, is a disgrace to mankind.

FIFA should have defended the referee. Once you grant somebody licence to officiate in world cup matches you must vouch for their integrity and safety.
