ACP Agordzo goofed! - Kwamena Duncan slams Senior Officer

The Central Regional Minister, Kwamena Duncan says Senior Police Officer, ACP Dr Benjamin Agordzor caused his own arrest over his alleged involvement in a coup plot.

According to him, the senior Police Officer ‘did not respect his office and uniform’ by joining an alleged coup conversation group on a freeware, cross-platform messaging and voice over IP service – WhatsApp.

He noted on Peace FM’s morning show ‘Kokrokoo’, Wednesday, November 6, 2019, that even though he will not prematurely condemn ACP Dr Benjamin Agordzor, he insisted that the senior Police Officer goofed.

“Why should a senior Police Officer join such a group and make such a comment? Is that what we need in this country, an uprising?” he questioned.

ACP Dr Benjamin Agordzor has been accused of communicating with the alleged coup plotters and has been in the BNI custody since Monday and charged with abetment to commit treason on Monday.

At least 7 persons including a Medical Doctor and a serving military personnel are also facing trial for plotting to overthrow the Akufo-Addo-led government.
