President John Mahama has said he is “horrified” at the killing of the Upper East regional chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Adams Mahama.
Mahama was acid-attacked last week Wednesday near his residence while returning from his construction site. He died at the Bolgatanga Regional Hospital the day after.
He was buried on Saturday.
President Mahama has been commiserating with the main opposition party following their loss, but has served notice in a tweet Sunday evening that “justice” will be served in the case.
The president also condemned the act.
Horrified @ murder of UE NPP Chair Adam Mahama. Nothing can justify such barbarism. Condolence to wife & family. There'll be justice.-- JM.
