Controversial musician, Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A Plus, has thrown a jab at the New Patriotic Party government for blaming the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for an alleged flood at Terminal Three of the Kotoka International Airport, Monday.

The staunch supporter of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), said the current government and the NPP in general failed to recognise the efforts of the erstwhile John Dramani Mahama led administration toward the enviable transformation of the T3 of the KIA, hence they (NDC) must not be blamed for anything that goes wrong at the facility.

A Plus further expressed disappointment over government's failure to appreciate the former president by inviting him to the commissioning of the $250 million edifice which is one of his legacies.

In a Facebook post, the musician wrote, “NDC is taking credit for it so they have to answer when there is flood they say. Did you give them that credit by inviting even John Mahama to the commissioning of the place? Where is John Mahama mentioned in this letter? You didn't give him credit. Now that there is flood you remember that NDC was taking credit.”

He advised the NPP government to also take credit for the flood as the water could be used for 'one-village, one-dam’ which is one of the major campaign promises of the party.

NDC is taking credit for it so they have to answer when there is flood they say. Did you give them that credit by inviting even John Mahama to the commissioning of the place? Where is John Mahama mentioned in this letter? You didn't give him credit. Now that there is flood you remember that NDC was taking credit. Take everything. Take the credit. Take the water. Use it for one village one dam. It was one of your own NPP people sent this to me to ask you why president Kufuor was invited by Prof Mills when he was commissioning the N1 but John Mahama has not been invited? There are still good people in the NPP. Many stooges still though.

The KIA Terminal Three project

The $250 million KIA Terminal Three project began on October 30, 2015 by MAPA Construction MNG Holding of Turkey and was completed on June 29, 2018.

The facility can handle five million passengers per annum, thus averaging a little over 13,000 passengers a day. A total of 1,250 passengers can be processed per hour. The T3 also has an additional 7,000 square metres retail area.

The new terminal has five levels spreading across a land size of 48,268 square metres, six boarding bridges, seven links which are expandable to eight in the near future, four 80-metre long electronic carousels, a 707-capacity parking lot and a new road network.
