Fenerbahce president Ali Koc has urged Ghana international Andre Ayew to carry the team against Galatasaray on Friday.
The Sukru Saracoglu outfit are in trying times having sacked their Dutch manager Philip Cocu after the 3-1 defeat to Ankaragucu last week.
The President of Fenerbahce who has not had time to chat with Ayew since his move was at the training grounds on Thursday to speak to the Ghanaian.
“You’re one of the stars of this team. Galatasaray match is the biggest match. Now it is time to show yourself. More fight, take more responsibility. This team needs you,” Koc told Ayew.
Fenerbahce are just above the relegation zone after ten games and they seriously need a win against their eternal rivals to move up.
