The Ghana Meteorological Agency has announced that some parts of the country will experience thunderstorms and rains Wednesday afternoon and evening.
The announcement posted on the Agency’s Facebook wall was not specific about the areas that should be expecting the rains.
It also noted that the day will be variably cloudy but “sunny intervals are expected over most parts of the country this morning into the afternoon”.
Most parts of the country experienced heavy rains Monday evening through to early Tuesday morning resulting in the loss of several properties and a few lives.
Residents and business owners who were adversely affected by the rains are calling on the authorities to come to their aid and ensure all constructions in waterways are pulled down to prevent a repetition of Monday’s flooding
Ghanaians are being urged to be cautious if they find themselves outside anytime it rains as the heavy rains are expected to continue till mid-July.
