The Abeka district court presided over by Victoria Ghansah has sentenced Jihad Chabaan, the Abelenkpe branch manager of Mawarko to nine months imprisonment after dipping the face of a female employee into blended pepper.
Jihad was found guilty of assault and causing harm to Evelyn Boakye after the court rejected terms of the settlement by his lawyer.
The court had earlier dismissed the oral application of lawyers of Jihad Chabaan, seeking an out of court settlement in the case.
Background
Evelyn Boakye, the complainant, had dragged Jihad, 26, before the court for assault.
He was accused of dipping the head of Evelyn into blended pepper on February 26, 2017.
