Presentation of the mid-year budget review statement and Economic Policy is currently underway in Parliament.
Finance Minster, Ken Ofori-Atta is expected to touch on critical areas of the country’s economy halfway into the year as part of his constitutional mandate.
Revenue shortfalls, the impact of declining commodity prices on economy, government debt levels as well as progress with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) are possible areas to be tackled by the Minister.
Today’s presentation however may not see a request for an additional budgetary allocation from the House.
