The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party is pleading with the senior officers of the Ghana Police Service to immediately contact him if they are still finding it difficult to arrest the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress.

Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako in an interview on Assh FM which was monitored by Peacefmonline.com noted that he is ready to accept the rank of a Constable if the Ghana Police Service is ready and willing to allow him hunt and smoke out Mr. Ofosu Ampofo.

Earlier this year, it would be recalled that a leaked audio purported to be the voice of the NDC’s National Chairman, caused shock waves among the public after it went viral.

The leaked tape which is believed to be from a meeting held at the NDC’s headquarters days after the infamous Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election violence, captures leading members of the opposition party allegedly planning strategies the NDC will use to regain power in 2020.

For this reason, Chairman Ofosu Ampofo was arrested by the police but was later granted bail over kidnapping allegations leveled against him.

"How can we live in a country like this? How? Somebody has said such a thing and you tell us that you can't arrest him unless you investigate him", Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako wondered.

The Ashanti Regional Chairman who has rich experience in issues relating to private security continued that "even some of us who have basic academic training but have been to security school, we know the voice of you Laud, Sam Kojdjo and if honourable makes a speech everyone would know it is him. If I Wontumi make a statement, everyone would know it came from me. God has given everyone a unique voice and it even applies to twins and siblings".

He ended by stating that the easiest way the Ghana Police could pin Mr. Ofosu Ampofo down is to simply collect random interviews the NDC Chairman has granted on various radio stations and sample them to ascertain the truth.
