Accra, Mar. 16, GNA - The Minority in Parliament on Wednesday expressed its fullest support to the Committee for Join Action (CJA) in tomorrow's planned demonstration against the hikes in the prices of petroleum products, which it said, have brought untold hardships to many Ghanaians.
In a press statement released in Parliament House this afternoon, the Minority called on all well -meaning Ghanaians who cherish better living conditions to support and join in the demonstration tomorrow (Thursday).
The Minority noted that the planned demonstration was in line with its call on the Government to review its financial policy for 2005. The statement reiterated the Minority's position that the increase in the prices of petroleum products and Government's 2005 financial policy had brought intolerable hardships to the ordinary Ghanaian and maintained that the only way the government would be forced to review its inhumane policies towards the people was when the people themselves rose up strongly against it.
The statement assured the CJA that all the Minority members of Parliament would surely be with them during the demonstration tomorrow.
