Some residents of Dome Kwabenya in the Greater Accra Region have expressed their displeasure with both the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Speaking exclusively to GhanaWeb, several residents voiced their disappointment with the current state of the country.

Some argued that neither the NPP nor the opposition NDC has anything to offer the nation, and as a result, they will not participate in the upcoming December 7 elections.

However, others expressed interest in the flagbearer of the New Force, Nana Kwame Bediako, popularly known as Cheddar.

Residents of Dome Kwabenya are calling for a change in governance in the upcoming December 7 elections.

“This election, we have to change everything. We need to vote with our hearts for real change. Considering what we are going through, we need to change the current leadership,” one resident said.

“Come 2024, I have decided I will vote because I have realized that both the NPP and the NDC are playing with our minds. We don't see the importance of these elections. If I vote, it will be for Cheddar,” another resident added.

Another resident expressed frustration with the unfulfilled promises of the current administration.

“President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo came here and promised to fix our roads, but he didn't. This week alone, fuel prices have gone up twice. How can we survive? As far as I’m concerned, I won’t vote.”

“I own a car, but this government isn’t making things easy. Times are tough. We are in an election year, and the government should have eased things, but instead, it's getting harder. Now everyone at the grassroots knows that the NPP has lost 100%. I’m an NPP member, but things aren’t going well. I know we have lost,” a disappointed supporter concluded.
