The police administration in Ashanti Regional is scheduled to meet journalists in Kumasi today Thursday March 1, 2016 at the regional headquarters to officially introduce the new Regional Commander, DCOP Ken Yeboah.
The program which is expected to be brief will afford the members of the inky fraternity to know other unit commanders transferred to the region to help in the maintenance of law and order.
Mynewsgh.com understands the program will increase the rapport between the people and police since crime prevention is a shared responsibility.
DCOP Ken. Yeboah replaces the outgone Regional Commander COP Nathan Kofi Boakye who became the longest serving commander in the region.
COP Boakye now Director of Research and Planning at national headquarters chalked many successes in fighting arm robbery in the region winning the hearts of the people and many are expecting his successor DCOP Ken Yeboah follow suit.
Some residents in the metropolis are urging the DCOP Yeboah not to be swayed by politicians and rather apply the laws of the country where it has to.
