Spio-Garbrah to cause arrest of imposters
Trade Minister, Ekow Spio-Garbrah, has lodged a complaint at the national headquarters of the Ghana Police Service to investigate and arrest leaders of Friends of Spio-Garbrah who are claiming to be championing his presidential ambition.
He could not understand why the group having no mandate from him could go out and champion his presidential ambition when in truth he has no plans to contest President John Dramani Mahama in the party’s upcoming presidential primaries.
He described the group as imposters and wants them to be immediately arrested, according to a statement released on Tuesday.
“While I am not in Ghana, I still have time to lodge official complaint to the Ghana Police Service to investigate the imposters one of whom made some allegations on Kasapa FM call-in program on Monday, August 10, 2015.”
“I also wish to admonish media houses to assist in the investigation as together we seek to uncover the imposters seeking to create disunity in the NDC and government,” he noted.
According to Trade Minister, never has it occurred to him to bid for the umbrella family’s flagbearership position when he knows very well that the party is well united under the leadership of President Mahama and therefore, anything contrary will disintegrate their front.
