The Untold: Educating the hearing impaired through sign language interpreters

The deaf community remains the largest minority in Ghana that is usually forgotten about when issues of national interest are being discussed.

With the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic in Ghana, it became pertinent to properly educate the entire population on the necessary precautions to take to curb its spread in the country.

Sign language interpreters became a necessity to educate the hearing impaired in the country.

Two interpreters have been a pivotal part of the various media briefings organised by the Information Ministry.
