Watch highlights of Ghana Military Academy's 2024 graduation

The 2024 Graduation Parade of the Ghana Military Academy, held on 22 November 2024, saw the passing out of 73 cadet officers.

Junior Under Officer Yaro Mohammed-Keilan emerged as the Overall Best Cadet and received the prestigious Leadership Award.

Cadet Corporal Wuni Nadia Isabelle was honoured with the Best Tactics Award, while Cadet Sergeant Gyamfi Samuel Ameyaw earned the Commandant’s Award.

The ceremony showcased the graduating officers’ skills in areas such as tactics, leadership, and discipline, reflecting the rigorous training they had undergone.

President Nana Akufo-Addo, who attended the event, extended his heartfelt congratulations to the newly commissioned officers and urged them to pursue excellence in their military careers.

He commended the top-performing cadets, saying:

“To the best graduating Junior Cadet Officer and the best female Cadet, I offer my highest commendation. Ayekoo to all. May you continue to strive for excellence in your careers.”

The President then formally commissioned the cadet officers, declaring:

“Now, may I request all present to rise for the commissioning and the conferment of officer cadet by the powers vested in me by the Constitution of the Republic? I, as President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, hereby grant you, the graduating officers of Cadet of Short Service Commission Special Duty Intake 61, into the Ghana Armed Forces.”
