Alfred Agbesi Woyome’s aide Reginald Dogbe has predicted that many people will be disappointed come November 24 when his boss faces Martin Amidu in court.

According to him, people are bent on hearing some names out of Alfred Agbesi Woyome disregarding the fact that he is human just like any other person.

In an interview with Ekourba Gyasi on Atinka AM Drive, Reginald Dogbe expressed his displeasure over attempts to associate Woyome’s judgment debt with the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and not another political party since this case began in 2005.

Reginald Dogbe made the statements in relation to the Supreme Court’s decsion to allow former Attorney General Martin Amidu to examine businessman Alfred Woyome in connection with the GHS51 million judgment debt saga.

The Supreme Court gave its ruling on Wednesday 16 November.

The ruling, which was meant to have been given on Tuesday, was deferred to Wednesday by Justice Anin Yeboah who conveyed the rescheduled date through the court registrar. No reasons were assigned for the deferment of the ruling.

Mr Amidu filed an application to that effect over a week ago. He said in a statement: “…I have this morning 4th November, 2016 filed an application at the Supreme Court for leave to examine the judgment debtor as the citizen public interest plaintiff in favour of whom the case was decided for the Republic of Ghana.”

Mr Amidu’s action followed a move by the Attorney General to discontinue oral examination of Mr Woyome.

However Convener for Occupy Ghana, Nana Sarpong mentioned that Ghanaians will be glad to be disappointed in court than to be disappointed now.

“Woyome should consider himself as the luckiest man on earth for being given an undeserved amount of money which he has failed to pay till date” he concluded.
