The Flagbearer of the All Peoples Congress (APC) Hassan Ayariga has urged the largest opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) to feel free to copy from its manifesto but must ensure it does the copying very well.

According to him, the APC manifesto is a serious document which the NPP can steal ideas from to make their manifesto which is to be launched Sunday very rich.

The NPP deliberately held on to the launch of its manifesto before the NDC did theirs as it feared that the latter which is the governing party will plagiarize the document.

The NDC then went ahead to outdoor their manifesto about a month ago, but the NPP yet claimed the former had stolen ideas from its document, an allegations President Mahama has rubbished arguing that he personally wrote part of the manifesto.

But speaking at the APC Manifesto launch at in Accra Thursday, Hassan Ayariga who over the period has been on the onslaught bashing the NPP, urged Ghanaians not to take the NPP seriously as most of the party’s campaign promises are realistic.

He said the NPP should be happy to copy from the APC’s document urging the elephant family to be serious if it wants to govern the country.

“The APC will improve production deficiency through the following… (a) Irrigation development…Please I beg you, it is not one district; one dam because the people even don’t have the dam to make one village one dam, this is not feasible. My brothers in the NPP, tell them to be serious, this is a serious country. We’ll not allow anybody to mess with this nation, not under one is to this…one is to that, they should be serious, this is a serious manifesto, if they want they can copy it but they should copy it well,” Ayariga fumed.

But, the opposition NPP has accused Hassan Ayariga of stealing portions of their yet-to-be-published manifesto, and has described him as Melania Trump (wife of US Republican candidate, Donald Trump, who plagiarized the speech of Michel Obama) .

According to the NPP, “one such policy statement, which Hassan Ayariga, copied from was the speech delivered by Nana Akufo-Addo at the 56th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Ghana Employers’ Association (GEA), at the International Conference Centre, Accra, on Thursday, September 8, 2016”.
