  So you don't have lawyers or better still the men who will fight to block just one of the numerous evil taxes and extortions by Prime minister Osafo Marfoh and his deputy Gabby together with Chancellor Ofori Atta that are killing people and dreams in this country? Even in opposition NDC is displaying incompetent. Very pathetic!
  You know what, your party has not done anything to show that you are ready to lead. The only assurance that you may win the 2924 elections is Ghanaians disappointment in Akuffo Addo. NDC in opposition has done nothing to merit a come back!.
  Your leadership in Parliament etc are alleged to be taking bribes to allow NPP to continue imposing hardships on Ghanaians. From e-levy to now emissions levy, which one have you been able to stop?
  You are useless even in opposition!
  The only thing that may bring you to power is the disappointment of Ghanaians in Addo Guy Guy but not because you have anything to offer!

Well, a particular tax will normally be instituted by a government in search of revenue if the incidence presents itself as an opportunity. In this case, it is because the DVLA can easily determine the liable vehicles and impose the recommended tax rate. You could say it is opportunism but such is part of the dynamics of national economic management; indeed, of domestic economic management. It is not senseless as you characterize it because pollution control is a very important policy of government. Please do not let this dampen your efforts. I admired how you fought to prevent your win being stolen from you.

Some times I wonder if some of you are professors at all. You want to deter people for using combustible engines by giving zero rated tax exemption for 8 years. Electric cars huh! Where are the charging points, etc etc? Stupidly, we are assembling combustible cars in Ghana instead of assembling electric cars. Do we think through policies before implementation? So what are we fighting for? Nkoasia asem nkoaa.

And you are here talking rubbish. Can't you see there is something wrong here? I don't want comparism here with other countries so as a Prof, is it right? We already pay emission tax for every litre of fuel we buy, pay for emission check at DVLA. And you say it is right to collect this tax? We live to see......

  It's indeed true that whosoever the gods want to kill, they first make mad. NPP is cursed, I swear to God! You allow Wontumi to single-handedly destroy all our water bodies and green vegetation cover which acts as carbon basin for emissions of hydrocarbons and turn around to tax the common Ghanaian worker whose condition of service, doesn't take cognizance of hike in Trotro fares? They pay them minimum wage without his transportation from Madina to Kwame Nkrumah Circle. So if fares are increased by even one cedi, just imagine the hardship. And it's all under Akufo-Addo and Bawuliar. Over to you Joe Lartey!
