150 million ghc is only 11.5 million USD on today's exchange rate.....as I have said before, ....This would not even cover the cost of sealing the pot holes on the Kumasi to Accra road and would take the best part of 4 months ...

150 million ghc is only 11.5 million USD on today's exchange rate.....as I have said before, ....This would not even cover the cost of sealing the pot holes on the Kumasi to Accra road and would take the best part of 4 months to do it.
And when the work is completed, if it gets done,...they will have to back and start again....because patching roads in Ghana is not a strong point for the maintenance team....once it rains,the overloaded trucks just dig the bituminous area that's been repaired.
I can never fathom why that roads minister took the
Tolls off the roads in Ghana......it was not well thought out ......but you see the Government thought they had a windfall with the proposed 1.75% levy on mobile money transactions....which didn't eventuate...and tolls were taken off months before legislation was passed and the money didn't come to offset the tolls.
ANOTHER BAD DECISION....THE TRUCKS AND HEAVY BUSSES ARE CHOPPING UP THE ROADS AND PAY NO MONEY FOR THE ROADS UPKEEP.
THIS IS INSANE .
I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS IS ACTUALLY HAPPENING...THEY ( TRUCKS AND HEAVY BUSSES ARE FUCKING THE ROADS UP AT NO COST TO THEM.) THEY MUST BE KILLING THEMSELVES LAUGHING AT THIS STUPID GOVERNMENT.

No wonder Amoako-Atta was fired. He was just incompetent, corrupt and arrogant. Unfortunately, equally incompetent quintessential Akkufo-Addo kept him on to cause this mess for seven years, just because he is Akyim.

Pay the contractors and stop the comparison. Your Amoako Attah demolished a tollbooth and promised replacing it with toilets. Where are the toilets, no more revenue to repair the roads. Misplaced priorities. Useless governm ...
