Mahama believed that some of the reverence for the military would rub on him by wearing that uniform. But that did not help him to retain the Presidency. He wore the military uniform but the Ghanaian majority threw him under the bus twice in a row. Indeed he looks like a clown in the uniform and makes a mockery of the military. A civilian constitutional Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces need not wear a military uniform to be recognised as such. Dr Bawumia will still be Commander in Chief of the Ghana Armed Forces even if he wears a suit at military or other ceremonies.
