It seems it was then carried by Ghanaian websites. Even though there is a Brittany Boating who was murdered, it occurred a few years ago in Columbus Ohio, not Chicago.

Also upon closer examination of the obituary poster for this supposedly current deceased, there in the mention of a late Chief as a Chief mourner which is not really done in any of our Ghanaian cultures. So guys as it stands, this story may be fake.
