The late MP’s wife must keep quiet immediately. Customarily, she is not allowed to speak in public until her husband is buried and the traditional rites completed. The husband’s family can ban her from attending the funeral ceremony. If she is not customarily educated, she should learn from her elders. She has not right to speak, except a member of her husband’s family who has been appointed to do so. The late husband has a family who, traditionally have the right to speak. The husband’s family has the right to sue her before the paramount chief of the Ejisu traditional area, and claim damages from her. That is the right Asante culture and tradition.

Affairs with single women? All men need to be aware that they can easily fall to temptation UNLESS THEY TAKE ACTIVE MEASURES TO PROTECT THEMSELVES. In the last 5 years I have known of at least 6 men (most of them in prominent positions) who fell for women who were single lonely or vulnerable in some way. They met these women either in the course of their work or at venues where they had regular close contact with them.
In all cases bar one the men did not go out to deliberately commit adultery. They all had one thing in common. They did not create boundaries or hedges in their relationship with the opposite sex. They spent a lot of time with these women in settings that encouraged intimacy (alone in offices, eating out together to "discuss business", staying in the same hotel with no spouse present ,playing lawn tennis together etc etc)
