I used that same pontoon while doing my national service in 1983/84. To the best of my knowledge it has not been changed. Yet the volume of goods and services has quadrupled. At that time we used to wait hours to board from Adawso to Ekye Amanfrom. I cannot fathom why more pontoons have not been aquired for this highly lucrative area. The private sector should invest here unless of course the powers that be will not allow it .

The fact is that the pontoon developed propeller problems a few weeks ago. Currently, it does not move by itself. A small vessel was sent from VLTC Headquarters in Akosombo to push it whenever it loads.

The problem is apathy on the part of VLTC Management. All the top managers must be fired if Ghana is a serious country.

There are infrastructure deficits in Ghana to solve yet the NPP and Dr. Bawumia continue to depend on Mahama era infrastructural developments to claim ownership instead of the NPP and Dr. Bawumia creating solving one, just one, infrastructural issue they can claim as their own. Fools abound.

I am sure those who live there and the operators of the Pontoon are well aware the a day or two before Easter there is unusual storm on river.

I think they should look at the parttern of occurrence and stop crossing at such dangerous season.
