Actually the increase doesn't make sense. Even if you want to increase do so in a reasonable manner. I'm equally disappointed and would do my part if I had the powder to influence the bill. However, I'm saddened by the conduct of our MPs like Ablakwa over key national issues. The bill came to parliament and you allowed it have an easy pass without any objection which gives the ministry an indication that they were doing the right thing. You had the power to call for downward adjustment but you didn't. You pass bills with 'handshakes' in close doors and come out to register your pleasure. MPs are not elected to complain in social media; they are suppose to examine bills without political color by supporting what need to be supported and rejecting what need to be rejected regardless of which party is in power. In contrast, the minority jn Ghana always oppose good policies of government and support bad policies. E-levy was just 1.5 % look and look at what happened in parliament. Now we have 500% increase in passport fees and we heard nothing except the fruitless lamentations after the dust is settled. Governments will come and go but if we don't change our attitude we will get worse and worse as a people. Akufo-Ado erred if he signed this bill. Ghc 100 to Ghc 200 would have made sense than what we being told. Do the right things and some politics. I know for sure that the support the minority gave to the bill mean they won't review it when they come to power, but they will use it to campaign. It's not always about what you have done, but what you didn't do when you were suppose to act!

The problem is the Ghanaian economy is not good at the moment so the government should have not charge that much since 400 Ghana extra is too much but if the general public complain the government can do something about it but for Ablakwa to pretend that passport was cheaper under NDC is a big lie we can google it and check globally how much they were charging for a passport.
