He is a threat to society and if not jailed he would have continued stealing. He cannot justify his criminal behaviour because he has no job and the fact that it was done under the influence of drugs. Who forced him into drugs? Infact, it was his personal choice to indulge in drugs and there are several unemployed and drug users who do not involve themselves in crimes. The fact that the stolen items were fully recovered does not absolve him from prosecution. He should turn over a new leaf and fit into society.
