It’s not just a matter of change. The issue should be investigated and if they are found culpable should be dealt with according to the law.
He Jalil and his group engaged in similar acts in the Upper West Region at a time Dr. Dampare was the IGP.
That made the then IGP instruct his immediate transfer or posting back to the Headquarters. Upon his return, he wasn’t given any office to operate with impunity.
That caused the fallout between him and the former IGP who didn’t want to entertain unethical behaviors from his employees whatsoever.
Jalil then went to take sides with current IGP Mr. Yohonu to discredit Dr. Dampare.
That’s why he led the jama group as soon as Dr. Damare was relieved of his position.

Jalil is on record to have told other Senior Police Officers that he and one other also recently promoted to the rank of DSP thus Hannan are members of the NPP but it’s because they wanted Dr. Dampare out that’s why they drew closer to Mr. Yohonu.

Interestingly with his acts of impunity, the IGP granted him special recommendation and pushed him to DSP in December, 2025.

His other friend Hannan of CID Headquarters with no record of any exemplary service was promoted to DSP this March, 2026.

Mr. Yohonu is seen by critical thinking personnel as an IGP who has further reduced SPECIAL RECOMMENDATIONS and made is so cheap such that it doesn’t require any exceptional works but affiliations with the IGP.

NB: RUMOR HAS IT THAT, HE DELIBERATELY FAILED TO RECOMMEND AND PROMOTE HIS DAUGHTER ASP BERNICE YOHONU because the daughter will automatically get her DSP this year hence he intends recommending her for SUPERINTENDENT as soon as she gets the DSP.

All eyes should be on the watch out
