Don’t confuse Teachers with School Administrators who are not Teachers. Almost all School Administrators have never been trained to teach, and are not teachers.
I think that the Teachers should maintain the Philosophy that IF THEY PRETEND TO PAY AND TREAT YOU CORRECTLY, YOU ALSO PRETEND TO WORK. Teachers should be organizing extra and vacation classes where they can give up their best to students whose parents can afford. During the time when Ghanaian teachers left the country to teach in other English Speaking countries like Nigeria and South Africa, those who remained in the country organized Extra Classes for students whose parents could afford. By that, some teachers could put up their own houses and purchase vehicles. It is time for teachers to go back to the same techniques and make extra money. At the Vacation and Weekends classes, teachers should charge such students and teach them how to answer WAEC exams to pass with good Grades. They should not be waiting for any Manna to come from Heaven to fill up their mouths. Yes, I remember some Teachers taught very well during their vacation and weekend classes. That is not fair but they can’t be blamed because they have to find ways to survive if the system abandons them. I remember that students who attended Vacation and Weekend classes did well in their WAEC exams. If some school administrators will not allow Extra Classes in their schools, the Teachers can work with local churches and teach at their places of worship. It is very wrong for Teachers to be made to remain always poor and can hardly make ends meet.

Do you know the number of people who attend Universities and colleges to become teachers don’t do so because they want to be teachers. They become teachers because that is the Devil’s Alternative. They have no other options.
It is up to Teachers to organize Weekend and Vacation Classes to better their lots. They can use some local churches for their private Extra Classes if they are not allowed to use the classrooms at the Schools for that purpose.

With her teacher salary she gave Ghana 6 wobderful educated children contributing to all sectors of the Ghanaian economy.

And in her pension she is able to get GHC2500.00 per month to take care of her expenses. How many Ghanaians of her age get a stable GH2500.00 every month.
