The Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD)
The Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) has reportedly arrested two former senior officers of the Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) as they were preparing to travel outside the country.
GhanaWeb has learnt the arrests, which happened over the weekend, form part of ongoing investigations into multiple allegations involving financial misconduct within COCOBOD.
Sources indicate that EOCO is probing several suspected cases, including procurement-related fraud, criminal negligence, money laundering, and other financial irregularities believed to have resulted in losses running into billions of cedis.
