  There are various events going on and times get bettered so it's best to send the faster athletes so it makes sense but gaa can't be making changes after tickets are purchased unless it's an emergency

You continue your crass mismanagement soon these athletes will be lured away from us with offers from other countries then you yourself will wear uniform to go and race.....never will.these niggas do anything right without faults. Always excuses after excuses. They get money from finance minister to buy business class fir gh athletes but because of greed they purposely shop for cheap flights, more than 3 transits just to choose the money n it's the gh athletes who are suffering...

  IAAF new rules states that no athlete will be allowed to switch their nationality anymore. Athletes can only represent their country of birth.

  Therein lies the problems with GAA. They should base their team selection on well-placed and agreed upon criteria they have in place and and if they adhere to their own methods then they won't have to replace an athlete with someone you just happens to run a faster time than an athlete already on the team after qualifying for selection. That's not a way to build team and boost the athletes. Secondly, it breeds corruption. For example, athlete A is selected after meeting GAA's standards, then a few days before the meet, athlete B replaces athlete A because he ran a faster time somewhere after the days to qualify are over within.
