Daniel Gaspar (M) and Benjamin (R) during the visit
Black Stars goalkeepers’ coach Daniel Gaspar took a keen, personal interest in Ghana’s current number one Benjamin Asare during his visit to Accra Hearts of Oak training grounds at Pobiman on Tuesday, May 5, 2026.
The session, held ahead of Hearts’ midweek Ghana Premier League clash against Karela United, saw Gaspar closely monitor the goalkeepers’ drills, with particular attention on Asare, who was actively involved throughout.
In footage from the training, Gaspar was seen in a one-on-one conversation with the shot-stopper, an interaction that underlined the growing importance of the Hearts keeper within the Black Stars setup.
What stood out during the visit was the hands-on nature of the goalkeepers’ session, with the club’s goalkeepers’ coach directly leading drills involving Asare.
