President John Dramani Mahama has taken to social media to humorously lament what he describes as the little appreciation fathers receive during Father’s Day celebrations.

In a social media post shared on June 21, 2026, the President posted a picture showing the bouquets he received to mark the celebration.

In the picture, Mahama compared his gifts, which consisted of about three to four bouquets, with a photo of the gifts his wife, Lordina Mahama, received during Mother’s Day.

In Lordina’s picture, several bouquets could be seen displayed throughout their hall, highlighting the contrast between the two celebrations.

After comparing the two images, the President captioned the post, “Fathers! Hmmm!”
