Why couldn't you advocate for the replacement of absolute meters, simple replacement of prepaid meters as a nation we can't do. We only know the problem but as for solution thing of the past.

Hell No.

Meters read only electric energy consumption given in kWh (kilowatt-hour). So no matter how old a meter is, it is possible to send an accurate bill to a consumer by multiplying consumption in kWh by rate ie some value /kWh.

The problem facing the ECG is partly incompetence and partly theft on both sides, the ECG on one side and consumers on the other side.

Wow and this man was the head of ECG how can you tell us there are still meters reading the old rate,does it even matter ? Electricity is charge by the KWhr you use and not a new meter or old meter so when tariff is adjusted ...

Electricity is charge by the KWhr you use and not a new meter or old meter so when tariff is adjusted they just change how much it cost per kwhr(Kilo-watt-hour) and if the guy that headed ECG can not comprehend this wow Ghana.Every Electrical Engineer understands this calculations very well.Old meter new meter KWhr should be KWhr just like 1 meter is 1 meter if you measure with old ruler or new one.Unless he is saying the meters stopped recording at a point in time then i will understand
