Being wronged by the airline does not entitle you to be irate to disturb the peace and normal operation. Your thousand dollar ticket is just one out of of hundreds of thousand people flying that day. Causing havoc for attention is not a proper way of adressing your issue, you will be arrested. ONCE AGAIN KNOW YOUR RIGHTS AND PROTECT YOUR RIGHTS AT ALL TIMES. DON'T BE A DUMMY, AND WIND UP IN JAIL.

I have had experience with them, so my family and friends have decided to stop traveling with KLM. I also pray that other people stop traveling with it. I haven’t seen such a useless airline in these modern times, very corrupt ground crew etc.

Immigration officers don’t give visa’s at airports, they don’t have visa on arrival in the Netherlands ,

Next to that if you’re traveling and your flight gets cancelled there is an IATA code that forces the airlines to put you in the next available. They were supposed to insist on this.

At the time I was going to fly them, I was asked by a staff to pay him money. I refused. He said they will offload my bags. When I went to the gate, they started weighing all my things. They said my computer bag was too heavy and that I had to pay a fee. I refused again and they brought some stupid do called station manager, some white boy. I blasted him too to the surprise of the corrupt Ghana staff; they offloaded my bags. I contacted Delta, which partnered with them and I was rescheduled on another non-KLM flight. Since then, I never flew with that stupid KLM.

I have decided not to use it anymore because of the treatment of passengers bound for Accra from Amsterdam. Not that I couldn’t transit in Dubai airport. I wanted to buy some traditional clothes for both my family and friends.
First, the customs officers have a biased method of checking luggage for passengers of color. This is a fact.

Second, without any announcement, the flight attendants start spraying inside the plane about 30 minutes to Accra. The spray is so suffocating in such a way that it doesn’t make sense. What does it mean, I did ask the flight attendant politely. He didn’t even bother to explain. Sad.

We bought tickets from Delta which connected us with KLM from Accra Intl Airport to Schiphol Airport and we were asked to pay for our luggages which was stated clearly that, our first luggage will cost $75 and the second luggage for cost $100.

Upon arrival at Accra Intl Airport to check-in, the KLM staff told us to pay $120 for our first luggages which l protested against the payment but they insisted l should pay either than that, l will not be check-in. So, l have no choice to pay but coming from CVG to Accra, l paid the exact amount stated on the ticket at the Delta counter, ie $75 for our first luggage. So why the inconsistency in the payment. KLM short change us

The problem explained:
When there is a flight cancellation to some countries transiting Amsterdam airport, if one does not have a visa for Holland or the Schengen area, those passengers are not allowed to exit the airside area.

It is a visa issue, as to get out of the airport airside area into Amsterdam proper (city) requires one to have a valid visa. Many passengers transiting through the airport just to change flights do not obtain visas for Holland, as they do not intend to go to the city. However once your connection flight is long delayed or cancelled, without a visa you are stuck in the airside area, in sometimes unpleasant conditions ( especially the underground areas), until your flight is ready to go.

It is a sad predicament, but the Dutch do not bend the rules, even if the pertaining conditions are not ideal. Interestingly EU passengers in the same situation who do not need visas to enter Holland are treated differently when transit delays/cancellations occur. They are bused to hotels to relax/sleep over until their next connecting flights.
