A woman identified as Olivia Tuffuor and her husband were forced to kneel on live TV to apologize to Theresa Tuffuor (mother of Olivia Tiffuor) after accusations leveled against her were disproved by a DNA test.
In a snippet from the Oyerepa Afutuo show sighted by GhanaWeb on July 14, 2026, Olivia dragged her mother before the domestic dispute resolution programme, alleging that she is not the biological daughter of her mother.
“I will only accept our mother-daughter relationship only after a DNA test proves that indeed we are related,” Olivia said.
Responding to the allegations, Theresa Tuffuor, who was also in the studio, insisted that Olivia is her daughter and her third-born. She produced the birth certificate to back her claim.
Thankfully, the results of the DNA test were ready. The producers of the show then served both Olivia and her mother,(Theresa) copies of the test results, which indicated that they are 99.9% related by blood.
The producers of the show insisted that Olivia, together with her husband, kneel to apologize for the allegations that Theresa was not her biological mother.
Meanwhile, social media users have criticised the producers for silencing Olivia’s husband when he attempted to explain the circumstances that led them to suspect Theresa Tuffuor is not the biological mother of his wife.
