Dear Mr Manasseh Awuni, for the fact that you are free to walk, talk and even pen down your opinions is a victory for Democracy and for NDC. Some of us remember vividly how you were smuggled out of the country for just expressing your opinion which the then government found offensive. Incase you don't know, some financial issues are like security matters that needed to be handled with extreme care. Playing such matters to the galore only makes things worse. Do you remember " sika mpe3 dede" .

How do you describe a meeting that involve members of the opposition NPP as opaque????????. Even in law court, there are instances where certain matters are heard in camera and the outcome of such verdict were never in question because the constitution alow it. So please, if you want to criticise the government do so clear objective and not for the sake of it. Tnx.

You have truly lost credibility even as a 2nd rate journalist, Manasseh Azure. Bank of Ghana (BoG) is not scheduled to give either an annual or quarterly state of the bank or economic policy speech. The bank would be obligated and could be in contempt of parliament if it failed to honor mandatory duties.

Where BoG voluntarily honor a request by parliament, either as a legislative body or as special interest group, the bank may do so on its terms. The bank is not obligated to accept terms of the meeting if it is outside existing SOP and may have chosen to dictate what it is ready to devolve and what it would like to address later.
