England made a big mistake of playing defense after the 1st goal. You guys resulted in defending the one goal you had when you had 35 more minutes to play in the 2nd half. Argentina kept pressing for goal while all of you were at the back defending. You don't play like that in a crucial game like this, more so when you know how Argentina got their goals in the latter part of the game. And so when Argentina scored their equalizer, England opened up, trying to find a goal, which gave way for Argentina to score the 2nd goal. By that time, it was too late for equalizer. England made a big mistake and Argentina took advantage of it.

Gordon has one of the players preventing the ball from getting to Messi and was also stopping the Argentine right back from joining the attack. You are leading just by a goal against one of the teams with the greatest come backs in the history of football and you opted to defend for that many minutes. I mean, England was not doing bad before the second hydration break.
