The NPP is very a weak organization. They always allow the NDC to preempt them on matters that they are supposed to advantage of and inflict political damage on the NDC corrupt party. One of the things that was revealed about the late President Atta Mills alleged instituted investigation into John Mahama’s activities as the Vice President was that the Cribo Kingpin allegedly billed the government of Ghana a whopping amount of $ 5000 apiece for each student who was awarded Cuban government sponsored scholarships to study in Cuba. It’s said that amount rans into several millions of dollars. So what happened to that investigation, why the NPP continue the investigations? Now these criminal NDC are making issues with only one case where a High School student benefited from Ghanaian government scholarship. Nonsense!

The Arrangement: The Mills-Mahama administration sent over 200 young Ghanaians (frequently cited as 250) to Cuba in 2012 to train as medical doctors, specifically aiming to serve deprived communities.The Clashing Claims: Controversy arose when the Cuban Embassy in Ghana stated that Cuba was fully providing the scholarships, while government spokespersons insisted the Ghanaian state was sponsoring the initiative.

The Resolution: No formal or official corruption investigation into John Mahama billing the government for personal or fraudulent Cuban scholarships ever took place, and aides to Mahama repeatedly refuted claims that he was ever investigated by President Mills for such matters.

The NPP is very a weak organization. They always allow the NDC to preempt them on matters that they are supposed to advantage of and inflict political damage on the NDC corrupt party. One of the things that was revealed about the late President Atta Mills alleged instituted investigation into John Mahama’s activities as the Vice President was that the Cribo Kingpin allegedly billed the government of Ghana a whopping amount of $ 5000 apiece for each student who was awarded Cuban government sponsored scholarships to study in Cuba. It’s said that amount rans into several millions of dollars. So what happened to that investigation, why the NPP continue the investigations? Now these criminal NDC are making issues with only one case where a High School student benefited from Ghanaian government scholarship. Nonsense!

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE SAID MILLS INVESTIGATION INTO MAHAMA’S CONDUCT AS THE VICE PRESIDENT WHEN THE LATTER WAS ALLEGED TO HAVE BILLED THE GOVERNMENT SEVERAL MILLIONS OF DOLLARS FOR A CUBAN GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIP?

The NPP is very a weak organization. They always allow the NDC to preempt them on matters that they are supposed to advantage of and inflict political damage on the NDC corrupt party. One of the things that was revealed about the late President Atta Mills alleged instituted investigation into John Mahama’s activities as the Vice President was that the Cribo Kingpin allegedly billed the government of Ghana a whopping amount of $ 5000 apiece for each student who was awarded Cuban government sponsored scholarships to study in Cuba. It’s said that amount rans into several millions of dollars. So what happened to that investigation, why the NPP continue the investigations? Now these criminal NDC are making issues with only one case where a High School student benefited from Ghanaian government scholarship. Nonsense!

This article as reported raises serious issues about the way and manner some scholarships were dispensed during the tenure of the last NPP government.

That said, l am amused by the comments and insults by persons of different political inclinations in Ghana are throwing at each other about the facts, as outlined in the article.

Truth be told, all political parties in Ghana engage in some dubious acts when they are in power. CPP did that, PP did same, PNP the same, NDC the same, NPP the same (and even some military governments did same in their own way).

Any sensible Ghanaian should realise that abuse of power infractions has no political colour, and that unless we Ghanaians as a people change our corrupt minds and ways, acts like that described in the article (and various corrupt acts), will continue in Ghana always.
