The very fact that the entire judiciary and its "eminent" leadership, just look on while all kinds of uncultured characters publicly belittle and demean them and the highest courts of the land at will, tells me that there is something very wrong with our legal system.

The time-tested values of our country frowns upon such reckless behaviour. However, look at how Afenyo Markin disrespected the entire retinue of senior judges of the High Court, the Supreme Court, the Judicial Service and Justice Baffoe-Bonney himself during his vetting. He continued bastardizing the upper courts during the process to remove the previous Chief Justice and now he has the effrontery to impugn the integrity of the sitting Chief Justice with all sorts of scandalous claims which he terms as his mere opinions.

Has the Judiciary become so toothless that they allow all kinds of people with doubtful character and intentions to bring the credibility and integrity of the Chief Justice and the highest courts of Ghana to street level? And not surprisingly, the GBA has remained conspicuously and mischievously silent.

I have been following the lots of foul comments Afenyo Markin has been making. He attacks everybody and does so in utmost glee. To him the judiciary is now bought and that his previous Araba Torkenoo was removed by a grand conspiracy led by the present CJ and that the lead singer is Pwamang who he has accused of lobbying to become the CJ. This is so unbecoming of a supposed Minority Leader of Ghana's Parliament.

There are also judges who, the moment they refuse to do the bidding of the NPP come under his axe. The simple sin a circuit court judge committed was to refuse a bail application made on behalf of Abronye. The judge refused and that was enough to draw the ire of Afenyo to describe this judge in very uncomplimentary and base language. To Afenyo there are no standards, what matters to him as his preferences. A typical trumpian character!!!

Indeed Afenyo as a lawyer knows that when bail is refused, you go upstairs within our legal systems, but he chose not to do that but rather do the most ignoble. He felt reduced by the refusal because on that day he was in the court room with some NPP high ups who are also lawyers. The strategy was to cower the judge with their presence, and so when the judge refused to be intimdated, he felt that his nose has seriously been rubbed in his own four letter word. And to him the best way is to insult this judge who was simply carrying out hos duties

But you see Afenyo's loose talks dont hurt me more than the deafening silence of the GBA. The GBA felt it was necessary to write to the CJ about legal vacation because a former AG and a former minister in the Akufo Addo regime were opposing it and as the grovelling entity that they are, they chose to support this nonsense of these individuals when the GBA itself knows that it has no legal foundation. Legal vacations are not for lawyers. They are for judges. So if you are lucky that your judge is not a vacation judge, then bingo, it all two months of going on ajolly ride on the Strait of Hormuz. This is so demeaning on the part of the GBA leadership and they dhould bow thror heads down in shame.

Today, Afenyo is bastardising Pwamang, an obvious seniormost judge after the CJ and who stands the most chance to be a CJ when the current one retires. Any lawyer worth his legal knowledge and attendance to the SC will attest to the capability of this noble man. He and Baffoe Boney were at the SC before Torkenoo was apointed to the SC, and yet Torkenoo was made the CJ. Afenyo did not see anything wrong with that appointment because somebody from his mother's hometown in Winneba has been given that appointment. How on earth can the GBA remain silent as Afenyo goes round unfettered and unfiltered and destrouing the reputation of everybody. I feel really disappointed in the wife of a former AG who is now the predident of the GBA and who does not down and allows this buffoonery to go on, but acts in manners which could suggest that she may be in support of the plot to bastardise the whole justice system of Ghana

He did same things prior to the 2024 elections and the party lost miserably.
