Anlo Senior High School and Kumasi High School left the stage in round 4
There has reportedly been confusion during the ongoing 2026 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ), following a dramatic development in the Round of 18 stage of the competition on August 26, 2026.
The final contest for the day featured St Augustine’s College, Anlo Senior High School and Kumasi High School.
According to multiple reports circulating online, the confusion reportedly started after teachers and students from the participating schools engaged in a confrontation following a protest by St Augustine’s College, popularly known as Augusco.
Augusco had raised concerns over an answer in one of the rounds and requested that the point be awarded to the school. However, the matter reportedly generated tension among the teams, teachers and students after the concern was considered.
