  Common sense, complete the Buankra Inland port. Do the Accra Kumasi rail line. Move every import/container meant for the Middle, Northern Ghana and Burkina directly to Buankra ports using the rail. Those from Middle and Northern part of Ghana can do their import paper work directly at Buankra. You kill 3 birds with this intervantion. You decongest the ports, you create an economic activity for Buankra and you make Ghana railways profitable. All railway cost for transporting the goods from Tema to Buankra can be added to the import charges and Ghana railways reimbursed. Let us think outside the Boss. Asiedu Nketsia kept talking about thinking outside the box when he was in opposition. But i am not seeing this ideas flowing out from him as the Board Chairman of Ghana Ports.

  Industrial and economic expansion has outstripped road infrastructure. Until we develop a a rail system, this cannot be solved. One goods train can take the place of fifty trucks.
