Then the balance of the $7m allocation which was $5.5m was converted into cedis and paid into a private account. The private account, cheques written for the transfer have been shown in evidence. Even if the money was used for NSC operations it is still against financial regulations. However, the prosecution said the money in the private account was disbursed on private acquisitions. And the evidence of payment to other entities (for the private acquisitions) have been shown in court.
So, will it not be best for the defense to bring in Israeli company to give evidence they have received all $7m?

If the court however holds the option that your clients have a case to answer, you have the floor to invite the author of the document to come and testify for and on behalf of your clients.

Do not forget however that the shipment of the alleged equipments, proof of delivery through entry ports and recipients of the equipments will all come to play to affirm the authenticity or otherwise of what you are claiming.

It’s not about what is being put out in the media. In the end we’ll all get to know the truth

You did not have to request a copy from the company. A national security bureau must be a place of records! Plus, if the items were purchased and were present at the office or wherever they're supposed to be for all to see, what's the need to acquire a copy of receipt from Israel. The inference that everybody will draws is that your client didn't purchase the security items. To me, the attorney general office doesn't have to call the company to testify for the state, once they have established that Adu Boahen didn't buy the items. If Atta Akyea feels the company can help them acquit his client, he can call the company to testify. Don't waste your breath Mr. lawyer, the judge will rule on the authenticity of the document!
