How could the Professor justify eight regions voting convincingly for NDC as against two for Akuffo Addo. The math does not add up and that is exactly what the professor need to explain to the Ghanaian public. Ghanaians are not stupid and will not buy into what the professor is alluding to. The people of Ghana have spoken and they want Mahama as the president of Ghana but not Akuffo Addo and NPP needs to live with that!

No wonder all those he promised including Prof Ocquaye and the teaming NPP supporters are desperately looking for every foul means to make him president. I am therefore not surprise about their utterances in the media. Ghanaians may have to bear it with them and know that their actions are as a result of frustration, disappointment and desperation. One should thus not be surprised when all these circus of "let my vote count" and all get underway. In the main one would have expected that persons in the stature of Prof. Mike Ocquaye will speak sense and allow peace to reign in Ghana, given his background as a so called reverend minister, a lawyer and even a deputy speaker of the Parliament of Ghana. Unfortunately he has decided to throw all these positive clouts away and has rather chosen to don the filthy gutter way of politicking. These NPP guys think Ghana was carved out solely for them and that if they are not in power, nobody should be. Well, let them be assured that what is in the bible will surely come to pass and it is that "what has been hidden from the wise and the prudent, will be revealed to babes and sucklings. The NPP sees itself as being "wise and intelligent" and the NDC being "babes abd fools". The Good Lord is in control and all the machinations of the NPP will come to nothing. Even advanced countries like the US and Britain, the major political parties know losing is one of the outcomes and accept defeat in good faith. Why not in the books and the blockhead of NPP party as a whole? Do they think the only outcome of election is to win or no party should win apart from the NPP? I sometimes wonder why we went into democratic rule but not on military in Ghana alone? These NPP can never make Ghana move forward since Dr. Nkrumah to date, why? Can't Ghanaians see that NPP is only for their pockets and stomach? Has any NPP member spoken about Ex-president Kuffour and his cohorts having 3% shares in Ghana oil with the view of dubious agreement as middle men? When will Ghanaians learn to know NPP is a party of nation wreckers. How can a whole NPP founding father claim he can defend late president Mills of being honest but not ex president Kuffour, why? Okoampah Ahoofe, Akadu Mensema and certificateless Kweku Baako have never come out to defend or to comment on their corrupt ex-president and his followers. Thank God the NPP will disintegrate like it did in 1979 election. Shame on them. Mike Ocqaye should know better as a scholar but blockhead.

Prof. Oquaye is a disgrace to the academia. That a whole university professor could make such statements, in public, concerning the December elections is very worrying for those who will like to look up to such persons not only for knowledge, but also for a little bit of wisdom.

LET MY VOTE COUNT simply means that everybody who voted properly should have his vote counted. Ironically what this Professor is preaching is the DISENFRANCHISEMENT of voters who allegedly voted without biometric verification (as a result of the breakdown of a machine, even though there were other valid means of identification). If this guy believes in “let my vote count” he should be asking the leaders of his party to pray the supreme court to, in the least, order the EC to make the biometric machines available in the alleged areas of voting without verification, and call for “proper” voting there. This then, will be justice to the voters who queued for long hours to vote and cannot be blamed for having cast their votes in the absence of a functional machine.

It is a shame that a man of his stature can come out and shamelessly make statements such as: “The Supreme Court needs to hear from all of us citizens who want answers. If the NDC wants to go to court thinking that they can explain why 600,000 more votes or 400,000 votes with no verification, both of which are against the law, then let them try”. What makes him think the Supreme Court is not going to hear from those who have filed the petition? Our laws make it possible for any citizen to file a case against the results of an election and that is exactly what has been done. The fact that a petition is filed does not mean that the respondent cannot defend his position. The defence of the claim is what the NDC and other respondents are going to do. Why dare them (NDC) to do that?

It’s high time that grown-ups like Prof. Mike Oquaye learnt to behave like real grown-ups.

Prof. Ocquaye, a highly intelligent person like you should know better than to make baseless, unfounded allegations against our President.

The NPP has thus far not produced any tangible evidence of fraud in the elections. They are not even prepared to indicate where precisely such fraud took place, to enable the EC to respond to their allegations. The NPP leadership are just whipping up the emotion of party sympathisers hearing what they want to believe.

Prof Ocquaye,you should know better than to peddle such unproven allegations to gullible minds. It is highly irresponsible of a senior politician, a former deputy speaker of Parliament and academic to insult our President and incite public discontent with the government.

The NPP has laid an electoral petition before the Supreme Court. The case is being heard. The NPP leadership would do well to stop fomenting trouble in the country and allow the case to be heard.

All told, Prof Ocquaye, you are a very well-educated fool!!
